10 STEPS TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH

 

1. STOP drinking SODA, it's HIGH Calories

Sugary drinks are among the most fattening items you can put into your body. Sugary drinks are strongly associated with obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and many other health problems.

Keep in mind that certain fruit juices also may have high sugar level. Their small amounts of antioxidants do not negate the sugar’s harmful effects.

2. Eat more NUTs

They’re loaded with magnesium, vitamin E, fiber, and various other nutrients, but YES, high in FAT too! Studies demonstrate that nuts can help you lose weight and may help fight type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

3. Take REAL food and eat clean 

Processed junk food is incredibly unhealthy. Most of them are made of simple carbohydrates that make you feel full easily but HIGH in CALORIES.

4. More PROTEIN 

Chicken and fish is a great source of high-quality protein and healthy fat. The best and easiest carbohydrates and protein source to your body daily.

5. Get enough sleep

The importance of getting enough quality sleep cannot be overstated. Poor sleep can drive insulin resistance, disrupt your appetite hormones, and reduce your physical and mental performance.

What’s more, poor sleep is one of the strongest individual risk factors for weight gain and obesity. 

6. Eat 5 small meal every day

Start your day with healthy nutrition. You can have healthy balance meal during lunch and/or dinner.

7. Drink 3L water daily

Drinking enough water can have numerous benefits, it can boost the number of calories you burn.

Every 25kg weight is equal to 1L of water, if you are 75Kg, you have to drink at least 3L of water. Don't skip.

8. Workout!

It is not necessary for you to do a heavy workout everyday. But make sure to move around, at least walk for 30 minutes continuously everyday. Cardio is one of the best things you can do for your mental and physical health.

Weil Hotel is located next to Ipoh Parade shopping mall.
Staying at WEIL Hotel is a good choice when you are visiting Ipoh. The hotel is located only 1.87 km away from Ipoh Railway Station. This hotel is very easy to find since it is strategically positioned close to public facilities.

We love their soap and shampoo provided! I could not say more. Good quality. They are soft to the skin and smell good too. We never had this expression before, it was awesome!

FOODIE: FAMOUS MONGOLIA BBQ TO TRY!



This is not a Taiwanese buffet-to-stir-fry (Mongolia chicken). We are talking about A REAL MONGOLIA BARBECUE! And it has a connection with Mongolia. If you are looking for a street food or food hunting, it is a MUST TRY when you are in Kuala Lumpur.

They offers various snacking food such as, broccoli, mushrooms, sausages, fishball, etc. But it is a MUST to try their Grilles Chicken Wings! It is smoked and seasoned with spices. All were perfectly cooked and fresh. They also have an extended menu like fried rice, soup, stirred fry vegetables. We tried on Thai Fried Rice for 2. Surprisingly, we got it in a BIG portion. It is worth it!

RECIPE: NASI KERABU IS THE BLUE RICE!

Nasi Kerabu (Blue Rice) is one of traditional dish in Malaysia. Traditionally the rice is cooked with ‘Clitoria Ternatea’ (butterfly-pea flower or ‘bunga telang’ to get the blue coloured rice and aroma. The rice is served with many type of salad, fish crackers, dried coconut and other condiments.


In this post, we will share with you, how to make Nasi Kerabu easiest way, without the kit. 

Ingredient
PART A: Blue Rice

2 cup rice
2 cup water
1 lemon grass
Blue colouring or Clitoria Ternatea (if you have)

Instructions:
Rinse rice, add water, colouring and lemon grass. Cook it till you get the blue rice.


PART B: Condiments
Salted Egg
Dried fried coconut
Fish floss
Budu (Fermented anchovies sauce)
Chili sauce

Salad / frech vegetables
Cucumber
Torch Lily
Cabbage
Long green bean
Citrus leaves / Vietnam mint leaves

Cut all salad and arrange on the side

TRAVEL: SEMBAYU VILLA STAYCATION


Another short gateway on weekend. Sembayu Villa is located in Seremban. About 1 hour driving from Kuala Lumpur City Center (depends on the traffic too! =p). It is about 62 KM from the International Airport, KLIA.

Sembayu Villa provides accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge and karaoke room! Before your stay, it is best to book breakfast and dinner package. Or bring your own food. The road is quite steep to drive up if you are thinking of going out for food.


  
Spacious room with balcony, bath tub, hammock and place for you to relax all day facing the nature.


There are few dinner set offers during your stay. We have a set of traditional dish in Negeri Sembilan which was 'Masak Lemak Daging Salai' (Smoked beef in coconut milk) set. It comes with ulam (fresh vegetable), salted egg and salted drief fish too.


There is pool and foosball table that you can use at the main lounge. 
It was a great experience and stay at one luxury room in closed to the nature.
